Role: Group Health & Safety Manager

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation providing engineered power systems to new and retrofit projects into homes and businesses worldwide. Part of a group, the business is diversified into a number of divisions
The Group Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for Health & Safety (H&S) across the Group and will have overall responsibility for leading the H&S teams across all locations. The H&S Manager will report into the Board and will be responsible for developing the ongoing Group strategy for Health & Safety. The H&S Manager will ensure the necessary controls, administration, training, reporting and auditing are in place for Health & Safety as well as promoting and instilling a strong Health & Safety culture across the Group.
The role will be based in UK, with travel to other sites in the UK and overseas as and when required.
The Group takes Health & Safety very seriously and the H&S Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall excellence of H&S across the Group.
Responsible for evolving the H&S strategy to meet ongoing changes, regulatory and compliance environmental (including ISO certification)
Collaborate with the CEOs and senior management of the four businesses to ensure a very strong H&S culture exists and there is strong compliance to H&S standards across all locations.
Take overall responsibility to measure and manage performance of all aspects of H&S across the Group.Ensure H&S KPIs are reported on a monthly basis and quarterly to the Board.
Evaluate the Group’s current Occupational Health strategy and providers and implement revised strategy as required.
Significant knowledge and qualifications in Health & Safety.
Broad experience of developing and implementing H&S strategy.
Proven track record of implementing and instilling H&S culture, policies and training.
Proven track record as a highly effective people manager leading multi-disciplined teams with the ability to drive effectiveness.
Proven capability of operating successfully at a senior management level.
Ability to effectively recognise and manage conflict.
Significant experience of working in a multi-locational organisation.
Strong communications and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
