Job Description

We require a leader with extensive Operations Director experience to manage a complex, large infrastructure services operation at Sellafield. With an expected value of £30-40m per year the scope includes mechanical, electrical and civil engineering with projects up to several million pounds. You will be expected to lead the JV and work collaboratively with the customer managing both on and off-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Full Operational and Financial accountability for the performance of the operating units
• HSSE
• Large Team (+200 people) and Staff development
• Responsible for multiple Operational Units and managing multiple projects.
• Winning work from existing clients; developing new clients; identifying new opportunities; collaborating to provide the best offering to the client.
• Maximising work, developing competitive frameworks and identifying and delivering pro-active value propositions to customers.
• Managing risks and opportunities by appropriate client and business engagement.
• Ensuring long term capability planning meets customer and market demands.

Person specification

• An engineering-based degree would be desirable
• A record of operating at senior level in an engineering, construction or engineering facilities business
• Used to working for a large PLC, JV or entity with corporate processes and governance
• Good understanding of working in regulated, unionised environments, e.g. Nuclear, Utilities, Power
• Significant Operational / Contract management experience and leadership of large diverse teams in complex customer environments
• Experience of delivering change programmes
• Strong leadership, Communication and an open collaborative style
