Role Regional Sales Manager
Location Midlands Based
Salary £65,000 to £70,000 basic, plus benefits, car, bonus, pension
Our client is a successful major engineering sub-contractor delivering engineering solutions throughout the UK and overseas into Main contractors. The Group offers a wide range of specialist services to customers in a variety of construction end markets. We are looking for a proven Sales Manager to identify commercial opportunities and sell their services to contractors and housebuilders. The role will contribute to meet the company’s goals in terms of projects, size, risk, complexity and strategic fit.
Key responsibilities -
Develop and strengthen existing relationships with key accounts, maintaining and increasing business.
Develop long term relationships and frameworks with key clients.
Liaise with the operations team in the co-ordination of contract bids including the invitation to tender, specification development and pricing.
Monitor competitor activity in defined market sectors.
Support the Operations team to negotiate contract renewals, extensions and price increases.
Support the Estimator & Divisional Director during Tender phase.
Strive to place the Company as the customer’s preferred supplier.
Person requirements -
Strong experience within the Market and contract selling in the construction arena
Sound commercial awareness with an understanding of the issues influencing clients’ business and the markets in which they operate.
Ideally a good knowledge of the construction sector selling services into contractors or housebuilders
Team player/leader who will manage the region sales territory to strive to reach sales goals and encourage growth from accounts.
Excellent presentation skills, quick to deliver, enthusiastic, driven and energetic.
Networker – establishes key clients in the market.
Extensive Client facing time across the entire territory.
Ideally degree qualified.
