Role
We require experienced project managers to help deliver social care and health related projects within a local authority. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment to deliver organisational improvement and policy development, driving through business efficiency and cultural change. You will need to lead by example, facilitate others to deliver their objectives and facilitate a joined up holistic approach and culture.
Responsibilities

To lead on Projects or Programmes to deliver wide-ranging projects in support of the Directorate’s Business Strategy and priorities.

Together with a project team, work with the sponsor to define the project, identifying the critical success factors, requirements and targets of change.

To define and set-up the project organisation structure, assembling team members with agreement of appropriate line managers. Lead regular core project meetings.

Work with stakeholders to identify the business justification, establishing project objectives and benefits, metrics, risk and financial data. Define the project scope, impacts, costs, deliverables and schedule. Perform cost / benefit analysis to prioritise scope / phasing of deliverables.

Responsible for the lifecycle management of a project or portfolio of projects, co-ordinating the key deliverables to ensure complete solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards. Projects will be focused on ensuring change is embedded in the directorate through innovative solutions to difficult problems.
Personal Requirements

Track record of working on complex integrated projects which deliver tangible results for customers.

Excellent project management skills and experience of being an effective member of project teams working in a matrix management environment.

Experience of working in politically complex situations and proactively managing problems and opportunities.

Experience of identifying and delivering innovative and imaginative solutions.

Definition of the project scope, impacts, costs, deliverables and schedule. Perform cost / benefit analysis to prioritise scope / phasing of deliverables.

Leading and motivation of project teams.

Production, maintenance and management of quality standards and procedures
You will be a Graduate with PRINCE II and effective at developing effective internal and external relationships.
