Role details

Senior site surveyor required to ensure that new roads and works to existing highway asset are laid out and constructed in accordance with approved drawings, and to national design/construction standards, specifications and policies

Key Tasks

  • To assist in managing the work of the team, with particular emphasis on management of work-load and output of direct reports.

  • To assist in the development and implementation of Site Inspection specific revised policies and working processes and procedures

  • Autonomously arrange/carry out site inspections and testing to ensure compliance with permissions, materials/workmanship standards, approved technical drawings

Experience and Skills required

  • Extensive Civil Engineering construction site experience, including sound understanding of highway infrastructure

  • A working understanding and experience of road construction design and specifications and other associated infrastructure and its construction application

  • Extensive experience in the use, interpretation and amendment of technically complex civil engineering drawings.

  • Experience of managing staff and resources together with planning work streams

  • CSCS qualification

  • Member of professional institution (preferably engineering related)

  • Full current Driving licence or the ability to travel in order to attend site inspections and meetings
